Embed Your YouTube Video into Your Facebook Page

Two of the most important Social Networking sites for every marketer should be Facebook and YouTube.  Facebook and YouTube dominate the social media sites with the highest volume of active visitors, and searches.  Video content is important in your marketing efforts, while some people love to read information, many people prefer the visual learning from video content.  Some of the top Internet Marketers use video as their primary sales tool, with even a few using only video, instead of traditional sales page.

Creating different video content for a wide variety sites can be overwhelming.  Wouldn’t it be great if you could leverage your video content easily to both sites, giving you the highest potential number of viewers? By embedding your YouTube videos into your Facebook profile or Facebook Pages, you not only give your Facebook followers great content, but you also increase the potential traffic to your YouTube profile, to see more of your videos.

By embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook, you also reduce the amount of video content you need to create.  Instead of creating unique videos for each site, you can leverage your videos across both sites. You can embed YouTube videos into Facebook by following these easy steps:
  1. Logon to your Facebook account.
  2. On the status sharing box, click the tiny arrow that says “More” and click “Link

While embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook saves you a lot of time, and leverages your content, it currently is not possible to add your YouTube feed to Facebook.  That would give you even more leverage, and hopefully this feature will become available in the future.  When this becomes available, we will be sure to let you know.

Using video for teaching and marketing in your niche will help you catch and hold the attention of more people.  Leveraging your video content by embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook, you extend the reach of your videos, and your potential sales opportunities.

Distribute Your Blog Post to Facebook!

To be successful at Internet marketing, you need to have your content in many places.  Many times the difference between a successful internet business, and one that does not make a profit, is simply getting your story in front of enough people.  I’m sure you are constantly busy, making new content, trying to get the word out.  You need to be able to leverage your time and efforts, and let people know about your new posts with the least amount of effort.

People want to learn about your new content in their favorite sites, which today is most commonly Facebook.  People on Facebook search for answers and advice to their problems on Facebook.  Getting your word in front of these people can be very important for your business.

Since Facebook is where over 300 million active users live, it is critical to get the word out about your new blog posts on Facebook.  The best way to accomplish this task it to add your blog’s RSS feed to your Facebook profile or Facebook Page.  Then whenever you post a new story on your blog, it automatically updates Facebook for you, saving you time, and effort.

Think about how much easier it will be to take a little time to setup your feed on Facebook one time, rather than going back to Facebook every time you post an article to post an update about your new post.  Even if it only saves you five or ten minutes a day, that adds up to a lot of time over a month.  Time you could be using to create more content, and to communicate more with your market.

To get your feed setup on Facebook only takes these few steps:
  1. Go to your WordPress Administration Control Panel – Plugins – Add New.
    add-new-plugin
  2. Put “Wordbook” on the search field. Once you see the search result, install the one that says, “This plugin allows you to cross-post your blog posts to your Facebook Wall. Your Facebook “Boxes” tab will show your most recent blog posts. By Robert Tsai.”

  8. Click the Facebook logo with the padlock again. On the new windows that appears, click “Allow Publishing“.
  9. Now go publish a WordPress blog post and you will see that the plug-in automatically submits the blog post to your own Facebook wall, with excerpt of the post and images! It will also display a nice WordPress icon next to the Wall title!
Having the RSS feed for your blog on Facebook will help you capture new opportunities from the largest audience on the internet.  Spend the few moments to start distributing your blog posts to Facebook, and watch your profits increase.

Facebook Page : Obama’s Secret to Win the Election

You may already have a Facebook profile, but do you have a Facebook Page? Top marketers, and even public figures like President Obama use Facebook pages. Many people believe that President Obama’s success was largely due to his campaigns use of Facebook pages, and other Social media sites.

What is the difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page? Both allow you to send updates to your friends or fans, but Facebook pages do not require you to approve everyone who wants to add you as a friend. Facebook pages were designed for public figures, performers, bands, and businesses, to have a presence on Facebook, and to allow Facebook users to follow their favorite personalities and businesses. When you are tracking down other marketers, businesses, or entertainers on Facebook, if you see the “Become a Fan” button, you know you are on a Facebook page, instead of a profile.

Currently Facebook has more active users worldwide than the population of the USA. With such a wide audience, you cannot afford to ignore Facebook in your marketing efforts. Imagine your profit potential by carving out only a small group of Facebook users. Your Facebook pages will give you the opportunity to talk to the Facebook user, right where they enjoy spending their time.

I recommend keeping your Facebook profile to share with family and friends, and to have Facebook pages for your business, and market niches. Creating a Facebook page is quite simple, if your follow these few steps you will have your Facebook page ready for your audience:

  1. Visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
  2. On the facebook fan creation form, pick the category, name of your business, fill the captcha image verification and click the “Create Page” button.

  3. On the next page, if you already have the facebook account, you can proceed with logging on to your account. If not, you can create a facebook account from this page.

  4. Your facebook fan page is ready. You can start to upload your picture, share your facebook fan page, and interact with them.

Using Facebook pages will let you leverage the power of Facebook, without cluttering up your personal profile with business messages. Facebook pages can be a powerful tool for marketing to your niche, and may be the best tool for creating relationships with your readers.

How To Use Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status

How To Use Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status

Every internet marketer faces one big challenge, leveraging your time on the important social media sites.  To keep in contact with your followers, it seems like you are always bouncing back and forth between the two giants of social sites, Facebook and Twitter.

Many times the message you send on Twitter is the same message you want to share on Facebook.  So you login to Twitter, type your message, and update your status.  Then it is off to Facebook, login, then retype the same message and update your status.  I’m sure your time is as valuable to you, as mine is to me, and retyping or even the “cut and paste” of the same message is frustrating.

Luckily for all of us marketers, there is a good solution to this problem.  You can use Twitter to update your Facebook status by using the Twitter app for Facebook.  By adding this app, you can login to your Twitter account through the application in Facebook.  When you post your update, it uses Twitter to update Facebook status, and updates your Twitter status, simultaneously.  That makes for nice time savings, and makes me feel much more efficient.

The easiest way to add the Twitter application for Facebook, so Twitter can update your Facebook status, is by searching for Twitter on Facebook, you’ll find the application on the first page of your search.  Make sure you choose the option to allow Twitter to update Facebook, or you’ll end up only updating Twitter.

To have this feature on your Facebook account, do this following steps :

  1. login to Facebook, and click ‘Applications’ on bottom-left of your screen.
  2. click ‘Browse More Applications’
    Facebook-browse-more-applications
  3. type ’selective twitter status’ on search box and click the application
    Selective-Twitter-Status
  4. click ‘Go to Application’
  5. type your Twitter username and click Save
    Type-Twitter-username
  6. click ‘Allow’ then click ‘Allow Publishing’ to continue the process
  7. That’s it..! Any tweets you post that end with #fb should now update your Facebook status.

If you want to remove this feature, just click ‘Applications’ as you did on step #1, then click ‘Edit Applications’ and click ‘X’ on right side of ‘Selective Twitter Status’. You won’t be able to update your Facebook status from Twitter again after removing it.

There are some negatives with this approach.  First, it is a one way process.  Only Twitter can update Facebook, you cannot send a message directly in Facebook and have it update your Twitter status.  Secondly, since we are stuck with Twitter for the dual updates, we are limited to only 140 characters.  I’m not sure about you, but many times I want a message longer than 140 characters.  This leaves me with using Facebook for my longer messages, so for some updates I still have to do the two sites differently.

Using Twitter to update Facebook status using the Twitter App for Facebook is just one way you can leverage your time, and efforts in your social media marketing.
